Our camping and holiday village are part of Långasjönäs Nature reserve. In other words: Here you have nature as a neighbor. Here there are 533 hectares with a fairytale natural landscape, beautiful beech forest and imposing oaks. Here you will find a rich bird life. Blekinge also has the greatest variety of birds in Sweden and many birdwatchers from many countries come here to look for birds. Not only is the bird life varied, so is nature with its variety of wildlife, plants and trees. It is therefore Blekinge is called the “Garden of Sweden”.
The Långasjönäs region breathes history from the 1700’s and 1800’s with its old farm remains, stone walls and cairns. The best preserved monument is the ruins of the paper mill, located near the campsite. The paper mill is a magical place to be and is also used for weddings and photo essays.
The nature reserve is also a very popular hiking area. It has a well-developed system of forest paths and jogging trails that invite you to exercise and hike. The length of the trails varies between 1 and 8 km, and is showcasing nature’s most beautiful places and lakes. On various locations you even find barbecue places, shelters and toilets. One of the trails is handicapped accessible. Even the larger walking trail of Blekinge (Blekingeleden) is passing through this area. Detailed walking maps are available at the reception for 30 SEK.
Not far from our facility you will find Nytorpet, where you can use a wood-fired sauna in the middle of nature. It is located on the waterside at one of the Kroksjöarna lakes. Here, both local citizens and tourists use the sauna with subsequent swim in the lake.
Some of the walking trails pass the various beaches. So, make sure to take your swimwear, so you can combine hiking and swimming. At the same time, you can enjoy the coffee basket you brought with you, and a grilled sausage at one of the nice barbecue areas.
