FAQ-CAMPING
1. When can I check in and out of the campsite?
Check-in camping: from 12:00 onwards
Check-out camping: from 12.00 noon onwards
2. When can I check in and out of cabins?
Cottages check-in: from 15.00
Check-out cabins: before kl. 11.00
3. Can I check in if the reception is closed?
Yes, this is possible if you have booked and received a confirmation email. The email will describe how to check-in after opening hours.
4. Where are the charging points for electric cars near the campsite?
At the moment, we do not yet have any charging stations for electric cars. We hope to offer this in the near future. In the meantime, we refer to the possibilities available in the area.
5. Is it forbidden to use fireworks at the campsite?
Fireworks are not allowed on the campsite or in the nature reserve. The campsite is only part of the area and the responsibility over the municipal parts such as the bathing beaches is the responsibility of Karlshamn municipality. The beaches are located in a water protection area where fireworks are not normally allowed, but this responsibility and control is not the responsibility of the campsite.

It is impossible to give watertight guarantees that these rules will be respected, but we hope for the common sense of our guests and that visitors to the beaches and nature reserve will respect the rules.
6. Are the toilets open 24 hours a day?
Yes, the toilets are always accessible to camping guests with a camping card. The toilets at the boat dock are open to the public between April and October and do not require a camping card.
Please note that we are not responsible for the toilets at the bathing sites. Some toilets are closed during the period November 1 – April 1, depending on weather conditions.
7. Can we book a campsite at the last minute?
Yes, but we recommend that you book in advance to be sure of getting a place, especially in high season.
If you have not booked and arrive after closing time during the period September 1 – June 1, you can make a reservation via our last-minute booking system in the app or on the website. Please note that this feature only appears if you are using a mobile phone.
There are also signposted instructions outside reception showing you how to proceed.
8. What is the maximum size of a motorhome or caravan?
8 meters is the maximum size for all camping pitches except for pitches 80-93. If you have a motorhome larger than 8 meters, you must use pitches 80-93.
9. Is there a limit to the number of people or tents allowed per site?
A maximum of 6 people per campsite is allowed. One tent per campsite is included as standard.
It is possible to have two smaller tents on a campsite if they are one or two-person tents.
Exceptions to this rule must be approved in advance via reception@langasjonas.com
10. Is it allowed to have a tent trailer on the campsite?
Yes, but please let us know in advance if you want to stand on the tent site. We recommend using T1 or T8 as these sites are easier to access with a tent trailer. Of course, you can use a tent trailer on all other campsites without warning.
11. Can I play music during my stay at the campsite?
Playing music through loudspeakers is not allowed anywhere on the campsite – this applies to both camping areas and around the cabins. Playing music too loudly inside a cabin is also not allowed if it disturbs other guests.
We are a nature campsite where guests come to enjoy peace and quiet. You are of course welcome to listen to music with headphones, as long as it does not disturb the surroundings.
12. May I use an electric heater in the tent?
No, it is not allowed to use electric heating elements in tents. This is both a safety rule and a fire hazard.
For the same reason, the use of wood-burning stoves or similar equipment in tents for heating or cooking is also strictly prohibited.
Violation of this rule may result in a fine or, in serious cases, expulsion from the campsite.
13. Is it allowed to drink alcohol at the campsite?
Yes, drinking alcohol is allowed. However, if your behavior becomes disruptive due to excessive alcohol consumption, we reserve the right to expel you from the campsite without refund.
In case of intoxication or disruptive behavior, we may also contact the police.
If we suspect that minors are drinking alcohol, we are obliged to contact the police.
14. Is smoking allowed on the campsite?
Smoking is allowed, but we strongly recommend that you use one of our five designated smoking areas. This is both out of consideration for our non-smoking guests and as a fire safety measure. The smoking areas have special fireproof ashtrays where you can safely dispose of your cigarette.
Please note that smoking is completely prohibited in some places, including:
At all bathing sites
Around the service building, restaurant and reception
At playgrounds, toilets and the miniature golf course
Inside the restaurant and reception
For hygiene and environmental reasons, we ask guests not to use or throw snus in swimming areas, playgrounds and other common areas.
15. Do I need Camping Key Europe to stay at your campsite?
No, it is not necessary to have Camping Key Europe to book a place with us.
However, it does make check-in easier, as we can then simply record your account number instead of entering all the details manually.
16. Can you play with a ball or frisbee at the campsite?
Help children find suitable places to play and play ball.
Kicking or throwing a ball, frisbee or similar is not allowed among caravans and tents.
17. Can I let other people in with my camping card?
No, you are not allowed to let other people through the entrance gate or into the service building with your camping card.
If you have guests visiting, they should park outside the campsite in the public parking lots.
We also have toilets available for visitors at the reception, the boat dock and on the beach. The toilet at the beach is managed by Karlshamn municipality
18. Where can I empty waste water and solid tanks?
Waste water must be stored in closed containers and may only be emptied at the wash-out on the outside of the service building, in a corner to the left just after entering through the barrier.
Fixed tanks are emptied at the special emptying station next to the service building, near the entrance barrier.
19. Do I have to pay to empty the latrine?
Latrine emptying is free for checked-in campers.
For those arriving by motorhome without staying at the campsite, there is an additional fee, which also includes the filling of fresh water.
20. Do all sites have electricity?
No, the orange marked pitches on the campsite map have no electricity.
All other locations have electricity with max 10 amps)
During the high season we offer limited electricity capacity (max 5 amps) at the orange marked sites.
21. What are the rules of respect, order and comfort at the campsite?
At Långasjönäs it should be calm and pleasant for all guests. We ask you to show consideration and follow these simple rules:
-🤫 Silence applies between 22.00 and 08.00.
-Music is not allowed in the area (you can listen in your own caravan/mobile home/tent – but not so that others can hear).
-Dogs must be kept on a leash and walked outside the campsite.
-🧹 Keep order around your campsite.
-🧑🤝🧑 Show respect to other guests – avoid behavior that may be perceived as offensive or violate good camping etiquette.

22. Can I wash my car, caravan or motorhome in the campsite or cottage area?
No, it is not allowed to wash cars, caravans or motorhomes within the camping or cottage area, in accordance with municipal regulations.
23. What is included (e.g. showers, toilets, electricity, water connection)?
You can book a pitch with or without electricity. During the period 1 June to 31 August, all pitches offering electricity must be booked with electricity.
Sites 80-93 have drinking water directly at the site.
Emptying of gray water is included and can be done at the large service building.
Showers, sauna, the communal dishwasher in the large service building and the laundry room are not included. These services are paid for with the Camptrack card, which you can load at the reception or via the machine outside the large service building.

24. Which sites are suitable for tents, motorhomes or caravans?
PLACES 1-26
These sites are close to the service building and are the sunniest. All these pitches are flat. Only pitches 25 and 26 have slightly more slope, but are more than fine for caravans.
PLACES 27-30
These gravel pitches are close to the service building and are particularly suitable for motorhomes, although caravans are also allowed. From these pitches you have a beautiful view of the beach and the lake.
PLACES 31-70
These sites are located in different sub-areas, often appreciated by those who want a quieter place. Some sites have a view of the lake and are also directly connected to the hiking trail (often appreciated by dog owners). There is a second service building in these areas, newly built in 2022. Some details about these different sub-areas:
Sites 31-36 = flat sites, a little more shade.
Sites 37-44 = site 40 is flat, other sites are quite flat. These sites are sunny.
Sites 45-52 = sites are fairly flat and slightly smaller in size (except 51 and 52). Sites with slightly more shade, but also some evening sun.
Sites 53-58 = the plots are quite flat. These sites have mostly sun, especially afternoon and evening sun.
Sites 59-67 = the plots are good for caravans, but not for motorhomes, as most plots have slightly more slope.
Site 70 = extra remote location north of the northern village. Very shady site on gravel.
By default, it is not allowed to put up an extra tent on a pitch booked for a caravan or motorhome. Exceptions can be approved in certain cases upon request via reception@langasjonas.com. A small one-man tent may sometimes be allowed, provided it is not placed too close to the plot boundary.
