If you want to swim with your dog, it is important to remember that dogs are not allowed at municipal bathing areas. Examples of municipal bathing areas are Sternö, Kollevik, Elleholm, Vägga havsbad, Lilla Öjasjön, Nytäppet, Köpegårda and Långasjönäs. The full list of municipal bathing areas can be found via the link (see Web page).
In other bathing areas, the right of public access applies and dogs are welcome, unless otherwise indicated. If your dog is bathing in a place where there are other bathers, it is important to show consideration. As a dog owner, you are always responsible for your dog and what it does. Remember that dogs must be kept on a leash between March 1 and August 20.
