THE LAKE PROJECT

What do I need to know when I buy a cottage?

On this page we will start with a little summary of The Lake Project, so that you get a quick idea of the project.

When you own one of our cottages, you decide which days and weeks you want to stay in your cottage. All other days we will offer your cottage to potential tenants.

Your rental income

You receive 50% of all rental income. The more days and weeks we can rent out, the more rental income you will receive. Your rental income will increase to 60% when you decide (and have finished) a renovation of the cottage.

When you buy a cottage, you can choose to pay 100% or 50%

There are two ways of buying a cottage: You can decide to pay 100% on the purchase day, or you can decide to pay 50% on the purchase day and pay the remaining 50% in monthly payments (48 months), with a fixed 3% interest.

First come, first serve

You can choose from 40 cottages according to the “first come, first served” principle. The earlier you jump on the train, the more options you have to choose your own favorite cottage.

Direct access to your cottage

When the purchase agreement has been signed and the payment completed, you become the owner on the same day and can start using your cottage.

Monthly fee

We charge a fixed monthly fee of SEK 2,000 for costs, like water, sewage, electricity, landscaping, property tax, cleaning equipment, and much more. We deduct this fee from your rental income.

Existing furniture

All existing furniture and furnishings in the cottage are included in the sale.

Renovation of the cottage

When renovating and rebuilding the inside of the cottage, you basically have unlimited freedom. When renovating and rebuilding the outside of the cottage we have some restrictions, as it is important that both villages have a uniform and attractive look. We already renovated cottage S13, which is functioning as a model home and an example for your own renovation.
